The definition of an invasive species is:

1) A species that is non-native to the ecosystem under consideration and 2) whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. Invasive species can be plants, animals and other organisms (e.g., microbes).

Below are just a few common invasive species in our area, and some control methods. If chemical treatment is needed, please check with your local landscape or tree service for a licensed applicator.
