About High Opportunity Areas:

​High Opportunity Areas are regions within the City of Dallas where the census tract has poverty rates of 20% or below. High opportunity areas are coded in blue and will provide the actual poverty rate for that census tract. 

Assistance will be based on need and the amount may not exceed the following limits:

DHAP

• High Opportunity Areas - $60,000
• All other locations in Dallas - $50,000

Home maximum sales price:  

• Existing properties - $342,000
• New Construction - $342,000
• Sales price limits are effective for contracts written on or after September 1, 2024

• Up to  $50,000
