Transportation Operations is responsible for design, evaluation, repair, fabrication, and installation of traffic signals, signs and pavement markings and traffic controls.

Neighborhood Block Party Requirement and Permit
Block party permits are available for temporarily closing streets in a single family residential area. The City of Dallas does not charge a fee for a block party permit.

Block party permits will not be granted where multi-family or commercial properties are adjacent to City streets. However, multi-family or commercial property owners may obtain a special event permit from the City of Dallas Special Event Department at 214-939-2701.
