Loving My Community Neighborhood Improvement Grant (LMC)

Eligible Applicant Teams

To apply for LMC funding, applicant teams must be neighborhood-oriented. Examples of eligible groups include but are not limited to the following:

  • Homeowners associations
  • Neighborhood associations
  • Crime watch groups
  • Community garden groups
  • PTAs
  • Organized children groups (scouts, sports leagues)
  • Group of neighborhood residents that work together to develop a self help idea that will improve their neighborhood

Groups that are not formally organized must partner with an organization to serve as their financial sponsor

Applicant Restrictions

Although all neighborhoods are encouraged to submit a project or program for funding consideration, certain restrictions exist concerning the primary applicant group to minimize or prevent neighborhood conflicts or abuse of the program. Such restrictions are as follows:

  • Individual residents
  • Individual businesses
  • Religious organizations
  • Fraternal organization
  • Business organizations
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Schools
  • Elected officials

These parties can only serve in a support role. Community residents must serve as the primary in the application development and idea implementation

Application Development Workshop
Applicant teams are required
to send one team member
to an application workshop
prior to submission. Individuals or groups who attended a previous workshop do not need to attend again.
