Sanitation Services - Home Chemical Waste Disposal

Dallas residents are offered a free disposal service for home chemical waste at the the Home Chemical Collection Center or any Home Chemical Collection event provided by the Dallas Area Household Hazardous Waste Network.

Both services are free to Dallas residents.

Bring a driver’s license and water bill or other utility bill as proof of residence. Residents of all other cities pay a minimum $95.00 waste management fee.

Directions
From 635, go north one mile on Plano Rd. Look for a one-story white building with bright turquoise trim and a tall sign bearing the address and name of the collection center. It is situated on the east side of Plano Rd., half way between Miller Rd. and Forest Ln.

Hours of Operation

    • Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • Closed every Sunday, Monday, and Friday

  • Automotive fluids & oil filters
  • Fluorescent light tubes
  • Computers and cell phones

DON'T Bring:

  • Business or commercial waste
  • Containers larger than 5 gallons
  • Explosives or ammunition
  • Shock sensitive materials
  • Smoke detectors or other
    • Radioactive materials
    • Medical waste
    • Common trash or recyclables
  • Construction debris
  • Electronics or appliances other than
    computers and cell phones
