Shelter Information

The DFW area is continuing its efforts to assist Hurricane Ike evacuees in their temporary relocation efforts, and space is currently available at various area shelters and hotels. 

The hurricane link on www.visitdallas.com will provide the latest in hotel availability and special rates starting at $78.

For information on shelters, call the special hotline number, 214-653-7629; American Red Cross, 1-800-HELP-NOW or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish); or visittheir web site.

Also remember that Dallas Catholic Charities is providing assistance to evacuees.
If any evacuee needs assistance, Catholic Charities of Dallas has four Emergency Assistance Centers available to help beginning September 15th, from 8:00A.M. to 4:30P.M.  They are able to assist the Hispanic populations as well:
