The City of Dallas Housing Department's Home Repair Program strives to preserve and restore the existing stock for low income homeowners in the City of Dallas. The program provides assistance to homeowners for the rehabilitation, emergency repair, and reconstruction of homes.
Basic Services Repair
This program provides assistance for major repairs on owner occupied homes. Repairs might include: foundation, air conditioning, heating, roofing, plumbing, sewer, and electrical. Homes are also assessed for Lead Based Paint and hazards are addressed. Funds are provided as a deferred loan.
Minor Home Repair
This program provides minor and emergency repairs on owner occupied homes. Repairs might include: plumbing, electrical, roofing, sewer, heating, air conditioning, penetration of outside elements into the house, and accessibility modifications.
