Dallas Convention Center

Dallas is a rapidly expanding metropolis, recognized as an international city.  It features a strong, diversified economy based on a highly motivated population with a "CAN DO" spirit.

It is not a coincidence that the Dallas Convention Center, located in the heart of the Dallas Central Business District, is one of the largest, most versatile convention complexes in the nation.

Reflecting the spirit of the great city, the Dallas Convention Center attracts convention business from every corner of the nation.  Size, flexibility and a vigilant staff make our city's' convention center the perfect destination for any kind of event.

Features:

The Dallas Convention Center is the largest facility of its kind in Texas. The Dallas Convention Center  has over 1,000,000 square feet. And it offers a staggering 726,726 square feet of prime, contiguous exhibit space along with a 203,000-square-foot column-free exhibit hall, the largest in the US. Plus the world's largest vertiport.

The arena in the Dallas Convention Center is an exceptional space for large meetings, concerts or even additional exhibit space.  With 7,428 permanent upholstered seats and room on the floor for 2,388 additional temporary seats, it can accommodate over 9,000 people.

The permanent theater with 1,770 upholstered opera-style seats is an excellent setting for concerts, elaborate plays and musicals, or for opening sessions and business meetings.

There are two separate ballrooms in the Dallas Convention Center.  The 27,000 square foot A Ballroom will seat up to 2,700 theater-style and up to 1,800 for banquets.

The C Ballroom, which is almost 20,000 square feet, will seat up to 1,914 for meetings and approximately 1,280 for banquets.  It features a carpeted floor and an exotic wood wall-covering with brass trim.  The focal point of the C Ballroom is the ceiling lighting system, an integrated, tubular design, which moves inward in height creating a pyramid effect.

Each ballroom can be divided into four sections.  These eight sections, along with 105 other meeting rooms in the Dallas Convention Center provide total flexibility for any type of meeting.

Superior lighting, excellent acoustics and an attractive decor enhance the Dallas Convention Center.  Bus and taxi loading areas are protected from the weather.  Graphic indicators, escalators, elevators and a ramp system allow for quick and pleasant movement through the complex.

The Dallas Convention Center is a multipurpose facility owned and operated by the City of Dallas.  The facility was developed with the primary objective of promoting and facilitating events and activities which generate economic benefits to the city of Dallas.   The Dallas Convention Center has a secondary objective of providing services and facilities to respond to the needs of local organizations which promote business and generally enhance the quality of life for the community it serves.

First priority for scheduling facilities and dates in the Dallas Convention Center is given to conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings and similar activities that are not open to the general public, or that generate significant attendance from outside the city of Dallas.  Such events may be regional, national, or international.

Second priority for scheduling facilities and dates in the Dallas Convention Center is available to consumer or public exhibitions, local corporate meetings, special events, banquets, entertainment events, business meetings and other activities which essentially draw from or appeal to the general public and/or local attendees and participants.   Scheduling commitments for second priority events and activities are generally not made more than two years in advance, and are subject to change to accommodate first priority events.
