Dallas Animal Services logoDallas Animal Services Adoption Information

The Pet Adoption Program seeks to bring deserving dogs and cats together with loving responsible owners while reducing the number of animals, which are needlessly destroyed each year due to unavailable homes. We hope your visit to our site will both inform and encourage you to visit one of our two shelters and give that "special" dog or cat a place in your heart and home. Look at some of our available pets.

The Adoption Program is easy and requires prospective owners to visit the shelters to view the animals available for adoption. Once you have made your selection, there are some basic requirements set forth by law, which must be followed prior to your new friend's going home with you.  As required by Texas State Law, all dogs and cats adopted from an animal shelter must be sterilized. This service is included as part of the adoption fees and is a mandatory part of the adoption process.

FEES

Adoption fee:

Cats : $ 55.00    (plus $7.00 if animal is vaccinated for rabies and owner is a Dallas resident)

Dogs: $85.00    (plus $7.00 if animal is vaccinated for rabies and owner is a Dallas resident)
