Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO)

Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO) are certified nonprofits that produce affordable housing in partnership with the City. The City provides various forms of financing as grants and loans, including construction subsidy, gap financing, predevelopment assistance and operating assistance.

Community-Based Development Organizations (CBDO)

Community-Based Development Organizations (CBDOs) are certified non-profit and for-profit developers that carry out neighborhood revitalization, community economic development, or energy conservation projects within an identified geographic area. The City offers certification for CBDOs to eligible entities on a continual basis.
