Accomplishments: Council Member Sheffie Kadane

Worked with Dallas Police Department Northeast Station to reduce crime in District 9, crime is down 11.2%
Helped initiate the “Adopt a Fire Station Program” in District 9
Successfully lobbied for the Trinity River Project
The new Lochwood Library should open this Spring
Lobbied for and received a Community Prosecutor for Districts 9 and 7 This will greatly enhance our crime and safety efforts in Casa View

Katy Trail Extension is in design phase, all of West Lawther has been completed making the trail safer (no trails through the parking lots now!)
Replacement of bridge on West Lawther near Goforth
Maurice Levy overlook near Fisher Road and West Lawther
Spillway Improvements are now underway and we have temporarily redesigned Garland Road to handle traffic through these extensive improvements to our spillway.
Actively involved with Garland Road Vision Plan and successfully lobbied for funds for the GRV, this is moving forward.
Served as Vice Chair of Transportation and Environment Committee

- Judicial Nominating Committee
Appointed by Mayor Tom Leppert to the Ad Hoc Committee for the DFW Board
