Environmental and Health Services

The Office of Senior Affairs and Adult/Geriatrics were restructured in 1994 to form a consolidated Adult Services Program to provide adult preventive health services/screening, awareness of community resources and advocacy for Dallas residents aged 18 and older, with special emphasis on those 60 years of age and older.  In addition, home visits are provided in crisis aversion situations by referral.  Annual influenza immunizations for senior citizens are also provided at selected locations in Dallas.  Call (214) 670-0521 for information.

The Office of Senior Affairs offers a variety of services to increase community awareness of services available to older adults.  The office coordinates services between City departments and the community, advocates on issues for adults 60 years of age and older, assesses aging needs, and seeks options to address those needs.  Call (214) 670-5227 for information or assistance.
