Long Range Planning - Current Studies

These are studies currently being performed by the Comprehensive Planning Division. They are in the community meeting phase where property owners in and 200 feet around the study boundaries are invited to participate in the discussion of their area. During these meetings, it is decided what is to be conserved in the area (if anything) and what standards will be placed in a draft ordinance.

Upon completion of the discussion of standards, draft ordinances are mailed to all property owners within the study boundaries for their final approval. This draft ordinance is then presented to the City Plan Commission (for comments and recommendation) and the City Council (for final adoption).
