Current Planning - Development Code Amendments

The Zoning Ordinance Committee (ZOC) is an advisory body appointed by and responsible to the City Plan Commission (CPC). It is composed of two or three CPC members and five citizens of which the chair and vice-chair must be CPC members. ZOC maintains a regular public meeting schedule and is responsible for reviewing all information that relates to proposed amendments to the City's Development Code. Requests for review of and amendments to the Development Code most generally are initiated by the Committee itself, City staff, or City Council though private interests may request an amendment by making an application and paying a fee. Upon review and consideration, ZOC makes recommendations for action to the City Plan Commission. The City Plan Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on the proposed amendments prior to any change to the Development Code. The City Council makes the final decisions on all Development Code amendments.
