Harwood Street Historic District
A commercial district on the east end of downtown representing a cross-section of Dallas commercial architecture from the 1880's to the 1950's, with styles ranging from Italianate to Beaux-arts, Sullivanesque, Neo-classical Revival, Renaissance Revival, Art Moderne and Art Deco. Significant buildings include Hart Furniture, Scottish Rite Cathedral, First Presbyterian Church, Dallas Municipal Building, Majestic Theatre, Paramount Pictures, Masonic Temple, and the old Dallas Public Library.Harwood Street Ordinance #20575
