Payments by mail are accepted with postmark dates honored. Online payments may be made at www.dallascityhall.com.

Full citation payments, attorney and cash bonds for arrested defendants will be accepted at the City Detention Center at 1600 Chestnut. Open 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

   Proof or Plea Court Hours are:   Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM -10:45 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM, Friday, 8:30 AM -10:45 AM and Saturday 8:00 AM - 11:45 AM
   You must be within the first 21 days of receipt of citation and have a copy of your citation.
   
   Cash and Surety Bonds will be processed at the Dallas Marshal's Office 24 hours daily, 7 days a week including holidays for Arrested Defendants Only at the listed location:

The following dates represent the days during the calendar year whereby there will be no Proof or Plea court in session in the Municipal Courts for the City of Dallas.  This list does not represent closing dates for the building nor the department.

The following forms of picture identification are Acceptable Picture Identification  for persons
conducting business at the customer service windows:

1. Valid Texas or Out of State Driver's License
2. Mexican Driver's License or Matrícula Consular
3. Valid Texas or Out of State Identification
4. Military Identification
5. Current U.S. University Identification (Colleges), etc.
6. Passport
7. Immigration Resident
8. Mexican Voter Registration
9. Texas Department of Corrections Parolee Card
10. Current U.S. Government Issued Identification
11. Concealed Handgun License

Please note that an expired driver's license will suffice only for setting a court date.

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR JUVENILES:
MALES: SLACKS AND COLLARED SHIRTS
FEMALES: DRESSES, BLOUSE WITH SKIRTS, SLACKS, OR PANTSUITS
NO SHORTS, TANKTOPS, OR PANTS WORN BELOW THE WAISTLINE
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE COURTROOM

A CHILD AND PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS REQUIRED TO APPEAR BEFORE THE COURT AND HAS AN OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE THE COURT IN WRITING WITH THE CURRENT ADDRESS AND RESIDENCE OF THE CHILD.
THE OBLIGATION DOES NOT END WHEN THE CHILD REACHES 17. ON OR BEFORE THE SEVENTH DAY AFTER THE DATE THE CHILD OR PARENT OR GUARDIAN CHANGES RESIDENCE. THE CHILD OR PARENT OR GUARDIAN SHALL NOTIFY THE COURT OF THE CURRENT ADDRESS IN THE MANNER DIRECTED BY THE COURT. A VIOLATION OF THE SUBSECTION MAY RESULT IN AN ARREST AND IS A CLASS C MISDEMEANOR. THE OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE NOTICE TERMINATES ON DISCHARGE AND SATISFACTION OF THE JUDGMENT OR FINAL DISPOSITION OF THE CASE.

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR ADULTS: 

ALL PERSONS ENTERING A COURTROOM SHALL BE CLEAN AND DRESSED IN A MANNER THAT SHOWS DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR THE COURT. UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE INCLUDES: SHORTS; CUT-OFFS; FLIP FLOP STYLE SHOES; T-SHIRTS; MUSCLE SHIRTS; TUBE TOPS; HALTER TOPS; ATHLETIC/GYMNASIUM ATTIRE; TANK TOPS; CAPS; HATS; DROOPING/SAGGY PANTS; CLOTHING INDICATING GANG AFFILIATION OR CONTAINING OFFENSIVE, VULGAR, RACIST, SEXIST, OR OBSCENE LANGUAGE; AND SHIRTS THAT ARE NOT TUCKED IN.
