- Dallas has seven reservoirs available to meet its water needs. Five of
these reservoirs are currently connected
- Lake Fork Reservoir will be the sixth Water Supply Reservoir to be
connected into the City of Dallas system
- The connection of the Lake Fork Reservoir is part of the City’s Updated
Long Range Water Supply Plan
- The City is looking at Eastern Water Sources to supplement its current
water resources in meeting its future water supply needs. These Water
Sources will likely be moved by way of the Lake Fork Reservoir and Pump
Station

for professional services contract to provide design
modifications and construction inspection for the Lake Fork Pump Station
and 108-inch raw water transmission main
- Services include construction inspection of Part 3 of the 108-inch Lake

Fork Pump Station

- Authorize contract for water transmission main alignment, easement
acquisition and pipeline design services for new transmission main from
TBR to the East Side Treatment plant
- New Transmission line is needed to increase carrying delivery capacity
- The Pipeline will be sized to carry water from Lake Fork and Lake
Tawakoni to the Eastside Water Treatment Plant
- This project will include acquiring the necessary alignment easements
for phase two of the transmission main from Lake Tawakoni to the TBR
- Considerations
- New Transmission line is needed to improve Dependability of the Water
Transmission / Supply System
- It can be utilized to replace existing Raw Water Transmission lines
used to Transport Water from Lake Tawakoni
- 72-Inch Installed In 1960 and 84-Inch was installed In 1984. They have
required Major Maintenance
