Nuisance Abatement

Nuisance Abatement protects the quality of life for Dallas residents by resolving public safety issues related to code violations enforced by Code Officers. Locations are referred to Nuisance Abatement for the abatement of high weeds, litter, graffiti, illegally dumped tires, vegetation removal, heavy cleans and closures after all attempts have been exhausted for owner abatement.

Supervised Nuisance Abatement work crews generate work orders for all service and labor provided while establishing liens for cost recovery. Inquiries for any liens associated with the Department of Code Compliance should be directed to the City of Dallas Special Collections Division located at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla 2DS, 214-670-3438.
