Building Inspection - Permit Center IMPORTANT NOTICE Effective immediately - All documents submitted for review must have a minumum text size of 3/32" and a maximum drawing sheet size of "E" (36" x 48").Effective April 1, 2008 - New Building Codes will go into effect: The Permit Center is the convenient location where the City of Dallas provides information and services to assist the public in the construction and development processes. This center has been created in order to simplify the construction and development application and review processes and allow individuals to conduct most of their transactions at one location. At the Permit Center, you will find helpful staff from the Building Inspection Division as well as other divisions of the Development Services Department, the Water Department, Fire Department, and Environmental and Health Services Department.
