Recent international events have necessitated the raising of the threat levels for various sectors by order of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. These measures will continue to assure that our aviation system remains safe and secure.
All commercial aviation operating in or destined for the United States is at threat Level Code Orange.
Tips for commercial airport travelers:
- Arrive at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time.
- Pack lightly, without clutter to facilitate easier screening.
- Cooperate with Transportation Security Administration personnel at checkpoints and with airline personnel at all gates.
- Be attentive and vigilant to any suspicious activity and report it to authorities.
Prohibited Items:
- NO LIQUIDS OR GELS OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED IN CARRY ON BAGGAGE. SUCH ITEMS MUST BE IN CHECKED BAGGAGE.
This includes all beverages, shampoo, sun tan lotion, creams, tooth paste, hair gel, and other items of similar consistency.
- Beverages purchased in the boarding area, beyond the checkpoint, must be consumed before boarding because they will not be permitted onboard the aircraft.
EXCEPTIONS: Baby formula, breast milk, or juice if a baby or small child is traveling. Insulin, prescription medicine and other non-prescription medicines. Prescription medicine must have a name that matches the passenger's ticket. All excepted items must be presented for inspection at the checkpoint.
National security is everyone's responsibility.
