City of Dallas to Spray for Mosquitoes at White Rock Dallas – The City of Dallas will spray an area near White Rock, as a result of a positive West Nile Virus mosquito collection and dead birds reported in the area. City staff will spray the area between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, August 4 and 6 a.m. Friday, August 5. Spraying can only be effective if winds are below 10 miles per hour. The area to be sprayed is bordered on the north by Garland Road. On the east, the boundary is Whittier Avenue. On the south, KCS Railroad are the limits and on the west, White Rock Creek. Residents in treatment areas are advised to remain indoors, keep pets inside and avoid contact with the spray.
