City of Dallas Closings and Schedules for Thanksgiving Holiday

All City of Dallas offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, 2005, in observance of Thanksgiving holiday.

The administrative offices of the Sanitation Services Department will be closed. The Sanitation Department will operate with the following schedule:

Nov. 24, 2005: McCommas Bluff Landfill & all Transfer Stations will
be closed. No garbage pick-up, except for Central Business District

Nov. 25, 2005: All Transfer stations will be closed; however, the
McCommas Bluff Landfill will open to the public from
5 a.m.- 5p.m.. No garbage pick-up, except for
Central Business District.

Other City of Dallas departments and services will operate as follows:

• All Dallas Public Library locations will be closed.
• The Dallas Police Department will operate on a normal schedule; however administrative offices will be closed.
• Dallas Fire-Rescue will operate on a normal schedule.
• The 911 and 311 Communications Center will operate on a normal schedule.
• Animal Shelters will be closed to the public. Animal control officers will respond to 311 emergency calls.
• Dallas Park and Recreation centers will be open to the public on Monday, November 28.
