Host Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge Groundbreaking Events
Construction to begin on Calatrava “Signature” Bridge Along Dallas’ Trinity River Corridor

What:
The City of Dallas, Trinity Commons and Trinity Trust Foundation will hold events to celebrate the groundbreaking for the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.  Designed by renowned architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will link Downtown Dallas and the Stemmons Corridor to west Dallas and Oak Cliff.  The bridge’s center arch will be the height of a 40-story building, approximately 400-feet tall, with a 1200-foot cable-stayed bridge span.  This will be the first of three Calatrava “Signature” Bridges for the City of Dallas.  Calatrava’s works include the World Trade Center PATH Terminal in New York, Olympic Sports Complex in Athens and the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Additional sponsors include: Mary Kay, Dallas Citizens Council, JPI, Dallas Market Center, Methodist Health Systems, Zoom 7, Southside on Lamar, Central Dallas Association and Victory Park.
