City of Dallas schedules 2006
Capital Bond Program Town Hall Meetings
Citizens offered an opportunity to provide input to Council and
staff
January 24, 2006 (DALLAS) A series of more than 30
town hall meetings, designed to gather citizen input into a contemplated
2006 Capital Bond Program and covering virtually every area of Dallas,
has been scheduled.
City Council members are hosting the meetings, seeking input in
preparation for placing the proposed bond program on a ballot for an
election set for November of this year. The meetings will be held at
various locations throughout the city beginning Tuesday, Jan. 24 and
continuing through Tuesday, Feb. 21.
Where appropriate, material in English and Spanish will be made
available.
The purpose of the meetings is to allow citizens an opportunity to
provide input on specific projects and priorities for the proposed bond
election. The meeting format will consist of a presentation from staff
members explaining the process; citizens will then have the opportunity
to provide input and ask questions.
Although the meetings are hosted by specific Council members and held
within their particular district, the public is invited to attend any of
the following:
