FAIR PARK ADMINISTRATION NEWSLETTER FALL 2006
Girls get all the glory at Texas Girls’ State Fair.
The inaugural Texas Girls’ State Fair, part of the Institute for the Future program of The Women’s Museum, will celebrate
the remarkable accomplishments of Texas girls age 12-18.
No one knows legendary 1936 fair like the Centennial Man.
It was like a world’s fair among Fairs…a cornucopia of giant Sinclair Oil dinosaurs, streets of foreign lands, livestock shows
and other astounding attractions all wrapped grandly in the art deco splendor of buildings like the Texas Hall of State.
Put a festive gleam in their eyes.
In a twinkling, Fair Park will be transformed from Texas’ premier fall destination to Texas’ newest holiday wonderland
Cotton Bowl goes on to bigger, better things.
Attention Texas/OU, Grambling/Prairie View A&M and all other football fanatics: you’re about to be Bowled over.
A wall of honor and support.
The State Fair of Texas and Veteran’s Day understandably draw the majority of visitors to the “Wall”, better known as the Texas
Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial at Fair Park.
