7. What are the dates of the State Fair of Texas?

8. Is the Midway open year-round?

The Midway is open only during the State Fair of Texas.

9. Can I Roller Blade or Skate Board in Fair Park?

Yes, roller blading and skate boarding is allowed with certain exceptions.  Roller blades and skate boards are not allowed on steps and plazas of buildings such as the Hall of State, Tower Building, Food & Fiber Pavilion, Music Hall, Dallas Museum of Natural History, The Science Place and Planetarium, Texas Discovery Gardens, The Women's Museum and the Texas Vietnam Memorial.

10. Can I take photographs in Fair Park?

Yes, visitors to Fair Park are encouraged to bring a camera.  However, use of cameras and video equipment are not allowed in certain museum facilities.  Commercial photography is not allowed without a signed and approved contract.  There is a charge for commercial photograph shoots.  For commercial shoots call (214) 670-8433 or our special event leasing information web page.

11. Can I have a family reunion in Fair Park?

Yes, family reunions are allowed in Fair Park.  Gatherings of over 25 in attendance may require an application.  Use of any of the facilities requires rental by contract.  Call 214-670-8400 or click here for more information about leasing Fair Park facilities.

12. Can I have a party/event in the Automobile Building, Centennial Hall or Grand Place?  What does it cost to rent a facility in Fair Park?

13.  If I have an event, can I do my own concessions?

No, you will be required to use one of the Fair Park vendors.

14. Can I serve alcoholic beverages at my event?

Yes, through one of the Fair Park license concessionaires.

15. Can I have a run (5K, 10K) at Fair Park?

Yes, but you need to contact the event division to make arrangements at (214) 670-8402.

16.  Is parking available at Fair Park?  Is there a charge?
